of Service

  • We reserve the right to amend prices without prior notice.
  • We reserve the right to amend prices quoted dependent upon the complexity of the alteration or repair undertaken.
  • If we are instructed to undertake a repair or alteration, it will be on the basis that the customer is entirely satisfied for the work to proceed. Any subsequent requests to alter or undertake additional work will be charged for. As such customers must be sure that they are entirely satisfied with the initial fitting, and/or the instructions given to us if no fitting took place.
  • We reserve the right to dispose of unpaid items not collected after a period of 6 months following reasonable attempts to contact the customer. Items which have been paid for will be held for a period of 12 months before disposal.
  • Under no circumstances will items which have been worked on, be returned to the customer until payment has been received in full.
  • All garments left for cleaning or alteration must be collected together. We do not permit items to be split and collected at different times.
  • Whereas we will always attempt to ensure items are completed by the due date, we cannot guarantee unconditionally that this will always be the case.
  • Whereas we will always do our very best to remove stains from garments left for Dry Cleaning we cannot guarantee that this will always be successful. Payment in full will still be required for dry cleaning even if stains could not be removed. Garments with beads & Trimmings attached are susceptible to melting and are cleaned entirely at the owners own risk. Some garments (curtains in particular) can occasionally shrink in the Dry Cleaning process, cleaning is therefore again undertaken entirely at the owners own risk.
  • Whereas we will attempt to use the utmost care in handling garments for cleaning, it is not necessarily always the case that washing instructions attached to garments are accurate or safe. It is nevertheless the customer’s responsibility to check that items are suitable for the cleaning or drying process they are requesting.
  • ¬†Where we are asked to undertake a service wash, it is done on the understanding that it is the customer’s responsibility to separate colours prior to submitting them for cleaning. Washing is done as per the bags we receive, as such we can accept no liability for garment colours that run or shrink as a result of them not having been previously separated by the customer. As such if we are instructed to proceed with a wash we will accept no responsibility for items that run fade disintegrate or shrink.
  • All goods are left entirely at the owners own risk (Statutory Rights Not Affected)

(‘We’ refers to ‘New Button’ & its Representatives. ‘Customer’ refers to any person or their representatives depositing garments or goods for Alteration; Repair; Washing; Drying; Ironing; Pressing or Dry Cleaning.)
